Service Technician - HazardAvert/AI
Strata is seeking a Service Technician to install, service, and maintain collision avoidance camera systems on mobile machinery at marine terminals, mining sites, and construction sites. The Service Technician will work closely with customers to provide professional service and technical support for the company's product offerings, ensuring customer satisfaction. This role requires hands-on installation of camera systems on a range of machinery sizes, as well as leading an installation team.
The Service Technician will be responsible for installations and technical support of systems and will also provide support, maintenance, inspection and repair of SafeSITE systems.
This position is Non-Exempt (eligible for overtime pay). Must be willing to travel approximately 75% of the time.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Install and commission collision avoidance camera systems on various types of mobile machinery.
- Lead installation teams during project deployments at customer sites.
- Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and maintenance for camera systems.
- Ensure proper wiring, and electrical requirements are met during installations.
- Conduct inspections and repairs of the installed systems as needed.
- Work closely with customers to ensure their needs are met and provide product training when necessary.
- Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction by providing professional service.
- Provide post-installation troubleshooting support as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned or required.

- Hands-on experience with the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of camera systems, electrical wiring, and electronic equipment.
- Strong understanding of power requirements, including power draw, voltage, and wiring configurations.
- Experience with mobile machinery, such as equipment used in marine terminals, mining sites, or construction environments.
- Knowledgeable in basic TCP/IP networking and Wi-Fi protocols is preferred but not essential.
- Experience leading small teams during installation projects is a plus.
- Or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience with installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical and electronic systems and equipment.
- Knowledgeable of basic TCP/IP networks including IP configuration, network topologies, and basic troubleshooting tools like ping and/or traceroute.
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must be self motivated and have ability to solve problems.
- Must be technically oriented and have strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Must be a team player and have excellent interpersonal skills.
- Must have strong communication skills and ability to build solid customer relations.
- Must possess excellent planning and organizational skills, as well as attention to detail.
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office i.e. Outlook, Word and Excel.
